The study starts with an open-ended, text-based interview assisted by an LLM chatbot. Afterwards, we will ask you to answer some basic questions and map your beliefs about these issues in an easy-to-use visual interface. Finally, we will ask you some more optional survey questions on your beliefs and experiences in science. By participating, you will help our scientific community to better understand the current situation. The study is conducted by Dr. Mirta Galesic and her colleagues from the Complexity Science Hub in Vienna, Austria.
If you can, please use a computer rather than your mobile phone to complete the study. It will take approximately 25 minutes, but you can make it shorter by choosing which questions to answer. Please feel free to share only as much as you are comfortable with, and please omit any identifying names or details of third parties to protect your privacy. No information will be collected that could be used to identify you (such as your name, email, IP address, type of device, institution, or location). The data will be encrypted and stored on secure servers at the Complexity Science Hub. The LLMs are not commercial and are run locally at a secure server of the Technical University in Vienna, Austria. After you complete the study, your data will be deleted from that server.
